The St. Louis Regional Freightway, under the leadership of Mary C. Lamie P.E., Executive Vice President of Multimodal Enterprises, is transforming the St. Louis MO-IL region into a premier freight and logistics hub. Since its establishment in 2015, the Freightway has played a critical role in advancing the manufacturing and distribution sectors across the City of St. Louis and seven adjacent counties in Missouri and Illinois.
By prioritizing public-private partnerships, the Freightway has successfully secured over $1 billion in funding for key infrastructure projects like the I-270 corridor and the new Chain of Rocks Bridge—critical improvements that enhance freight connectivity, reduce bottlenecks, and boost regional competitiveness. Through collaboration with stakeholders, the Freightway coordinates site selection, business assistance, and infrastructure development to support companies' supply chain and workforce needs.
"The St. Louis region stands out with its skilled labor force, diverse real estate market, and world-class freight infrastructure. We’re not just addressing today’s challenges; we’re building for tomorrow's opportunities," says Mary Lamie.
