Developing a long-term plan to decrease crime across the St. Louis area necessitates a joint effort involving the government, law enforcement, community leaders, and businesses.
Numerous advocates believe it involves fostering trust between law enforcement and community initiatives such as the Strengthening Police and Community Partnerships (SPCP) to encourage dialogue and create solutions for enhancing these relationships.
Some believe the region does not adequately tackle the fundamental causes of crime, like poverty and insufficient education, through government and business partnerships to generate job opportunities, enhance educational resources, and offer vocational training.
However, the frequent question remains: How robust is our community policing? Does it genuinely entail law enforcement collaborating closely with community members to identify and resolve issues in all of our municipalities? Is the current public safety programming in the St. Louis metropolitan area equipped to handle the challenge?
Join us for an insightful and timely Crime Panel Discussion featuring Missouri Attorney General, Andrew Bailey. This event is a unique opportunity to delve into the pressing issues surrounding crime in the St. Louis metropolitan area, hear from those on the front lines, and discuss innovative solutions to create a safer community.

Andrew Bailey was sworn in as the 44th Attorney General of the State of Missouri on January 3, 2023. Andrew is a combat veteran, father of four, prosecutor, and constitutional conservative who fights for the people of Missouri every day as the State’s chief legal official.
Andrew went to college at the University of Missouri on an Army scholarship. Following the September 11th terrorist attacks on the United States, Andrew was commissioned as an officer in the Army and took an Oath to defend our Constitution. He volunteered for combat duty to take the fight to the enemies of freedom, volunteered to go to Iraq, and did two tours as an Armored Cavalry Officer. For his service, Andrew was awarded two Army Achievement Medals, an Army Commendation Medal, a Combat Action Badge, and two Bronze Star Medals.
